First Meeting- Getting to know each other and assessments
This meeting will allow you time to present your current academic or professional situation and ask your questions to the career counsellor. Along with you, we will analyse the situation and we will identify the evaluations best adapted for you. Through special exercises and tests, we can help you determine your unique abilities, personality, values and interests. The results of all these assessments combined with one on one interview with the career counsellor, will help you determine your strengths, preferences, and dislikes.
Second Meeting - Reviewing your personal profile
During this meeting the career counsellor will present you the results of your assessments. You will have the occasion to best understand who you are and mainly identify your professional and/or academic options which correspond with your interests, personality, values learning style and aptitude. The counsellor will help you put the pieces of your career puzzle together.
Third Meeting - Occupational exploration
During this session you and the counsellor will explore in depth the occupations which are related to your interests and personality. The counselor will provide you with tools to explore the job market. Learn about the salaries, trends, and skills required for these jobs.
Fourth Meeting - Setting next career objectives
In this session we will look at the next step. What skills do you need to obtain? Where do you need to go to acquire these skills? Which schools offer the training to get these skills? Which school(s) are best for me? These are the sort of questions we will work on to determine your goals. From here it will lead us into your action plan
Fifth Meeting - Action plan
During this session together you and the counsellor will work together to establish your career and academic action plan.
